Rock
the Earth, Bob Weir, Michael Franti
and Others Activate Bonnaroo Crowds
(DENVER)
Rock
the Earth, a national public interest environmental
organization, will activate the Bonnaroo
Music & Arts Festival crowds through
a series of discussions and performance entitled "Social
Change Through Music." The sessions will be held
in Planet Roo, the village within Centeroo dedicated to
preserving the environment as well as promoting sustainable
and healthy living.
Rock
the Earth and its musical partners view Bonnaroo not only
as a celebration of music and expression, but as an opportunity
to take some of the most important messages in the music
and move toward positive social action. Appropriately, the
renewable energy-powered Solar Stage will be the site for
these discussions, demonstrations, and music. Join Rock
the Earth Executive Director Marc Ross as he interacts throughout
the weekend with a variety of artists, including Bob
Weir, Michael Franti, Warren Haynes, Michael
Kang and Michael Travis among others.
A
complete list of "Social Change Through Music"
sessions is available below. For more information about
Rock the Earth's Bonnaroo activities and the ongoing work
