Rebecca Sparks has had a keen interest in the environment and music all her life. While working for the recycling program her senior year at UCLA, she went to a Grateful Dead show, and realized her lifetime goal -- being recycling coordinator for the Grateful Dead. In the course of pursuing her dream, she met her current business partner, who was already doing recycling and sustainable grounds management for festivals and large events in Northern CA. He also happened to be starting a new music festival with some other partners called High Sierra Music Festival, and the rest is history. Rebecca was on the recycling crew the first year (1991), then became a partner in 1994. She has been a principle of the company ever since.

Throughout her career as a music promoter, Rebecca has maintained her passion for environmental causes, and is very excited to be working with Rock the Earth. She was married in the summer of 2006, and enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, seeing all kinds of music, and taking full advantage of the Bay Area, her home of 17 years.
